Once one of the most important buildings in the sound and music industry, the RCA Victor Studio had gone on to suffer many years of neglect. Breathing new life into the building and recapturing the building’s historic essence proved to be a formidable challenge. Our goal was to pay homage to its historic past, while creating a space focused on a vibrant future.

MXMA and Newsam successfully tackled the technical challenges of the project, as well as the materials, construction processes and design elements. We’re thrilled to have delivered a truly unique and welcoming creative space filled with an abundance of natural light – while offering a rare glimpse into a great era gone by.

Employing a something borrowed, something new philosophy, the team elected to keep the existing concrete floors to stay within budget, while investing in features that would make the space cutting edge. Read More →
